About Mekabetz
Our Story
Founded as an American non-profit organization, Mekabetz (meaning "gatherer" in Hebrew) was established to support Jewish immigrants from the Former Soviet Union in their spiritual journey. After decades of religious suppression, many of these immigrants arrive in Israel with a deep desire to reconnect with their Jewish heritage but lack the foundational knowledge to do so.
Yeshivat Maayanei HaTorah serves as a beacon of hope for these individuals, offering intensive Torah study programs that are specifically designed for adult learners who are discovering their Jewish identity. Our support enables the yeshiva to provide scholarships, learning materials, and essential resources that make this transformation possible.
